Cuan Law in the British Virgin Islands

Dive Global will be experiencing the Cuan Law in the British Virgin Islands in June of this year.

The Cuan Law is the largest sailing trimaran in the world, and she's not like any other live-aboard dive boat you've encountered. Custom designed for luxury live-aboard diving and sailing by owner/designer Duncan Muirhead in 1988, Cuan Law spans 105 feet in length and 44 feet in width. Two 110' masts spread 5,200 square feet of sail over the massive deck. Her size and the tri-hull design provide extreme stability, both at anchor and while underway. The seven crew members, headed up by Captain Gerry Matt, will make you feel right at home the minute you step foot onboard.

There are more than 100 sites available to Cuan Law divers. Unfortunately, you can't dive them all in a week. One of them is Alice in Wonderland, just off the dramatic rocky ledges of Ginger Island. It is a lush garden of Star Corals and Brain Corals. Huge mushroom-shaped coral heads adorn the long fingers of reef that protrude out from the shoreline. The coral hear his healthy and happy and offers shelter to many unusual inhabitants. Extremely large puggerfish have been spotted here as well as Barracuda, colorful Parrotfish, Squirrilfish, Angel Fish, Rock Beauties and schools of snappers that hover in formation. Known for its clear, blue water, visibility here often exceeds 100 feet. Spotted Eagle Rays, Southern Stingrays, Hawksbill Turtles and Crevalle Jacks are not uncommon.

Three dives are planned each day, including a morning dive after breakfast, an afternoon dive after lunch and a night dive. In between there is time for kayaking, Hobie Cat sailing, snorkeling or even additional diving.
